Nothing clicked, nothing made any sense.. but she knew him. She knew he would shy away from her touch, and that she could melt away his resistance, his tension.. As soon as his hands slid to her waist, she instantly knew he had the same power over her, suddenly the tension in her muscles faded, and when she sighed her entire frame sighed, relaxing.
" Breena... Breena Callaghan.." Whispering her words breathlessly, Breena began to wonder when Kel would say enough, she leaned her head against the nape of his neck. How she wanted to drift back to sleep, to know the Kel she knew there, the way she knew and felt that his embrace was a safe haven.. again she sighed, this time the tension began to return.

"Breena..." what a lovely name Kel thought, he wrapped his arms around her as she rested her head at his neck. He enjoyed this moment, his hesitation quickly melting away, his guard, which he kept up for so long, quickly fell.
He took a hold of her chin, gently moving her head to face his, at this point, he had no more hesitation, no more fear of what this was, he embraced it, and reveled in the feelings he was experiencing. He pressed her body against his and kissed her passionately, hungrily. It had been too long, and this woman, some how had a power over him, that he was glad she did.
Kel lifted the woman off the ground in his embrace, moving to her bed, keeping his lips to hers the entire time, and set her down upon the bed gently, joining her. No words now, he could not think of anything that wouldn't cheapen this moment. He did not want to ruin it.
He lay atop her, on arm cradling her body, the other grasping her hand, still he me maintained the kiss, as though his life depended on it, and breaking it would end him.

Breena stared at him with widened eyes, she wondered what emotion dominated in them, and what he saw, but as he drew her even closer, she realized it didn't matter. With a small smile she welcomed his lips to hers, feeling their lips meet, and feeling the heat begin to rise between them, it felt so...familiar.
Breena kissed him hungrily, and perhaps a little too desperately, but she was beyond the point of caring. When he embraced her tightly it sent a new wave of...needing. She needed him, whether she knew who he was or not that didn't matter to her. She kissed him softly, playing with his lips, drinking in their intoxicating taste, she trembled but gave no inclination she wanted him to stop.. Instead she urged him on, begging to let her take this further.

Kel released breena's hand from his and brought his own to her face. He broke the kiss hearing the clank of his armored appendage. He sat up from her moving his face away from hers, looking away.
"I'm sorry...it won't...i mean I cannot....". He tugged at the armor, it only move slightly, his skin nearest it pulled along with it. It was obvious now what he meant. The armor was fused to him, it could not be removed.
Kel frowned slightly, embarasses as well "...sorry". He remembered now why it had been so long, this moment, this event where he was once again reminded of his burden. He hated it, and did not k ow how she would react. Most people saw him as a freak. What gods cursed this man so? Is what they usualy said.

Breena sobered her mind as Kel began to pull away, she groaned softly and slid out from under the man. She raised her hand to her lips, where she absent mindedly licked what taste of him she still had left, and at once she was annoyed with the unwanted interuption.
The woman cocked her head to the side, her eyes following his to where his armored arm was. She raised a brow in question, wondering what importance, significance this had. Bree turned her attention back toward the man's face, her long hair fell into her vision, and began to cascade down her bare chest, veiling most of it. She sat cross legged, and silent in front of the man for a moment. The annoyance streaming through her mind, this was the moment where she had to decide to either give in to her vulnerability, or lash out with her current annoyance. When she saw the redness in his cheeks, the creases of his frown, and the sadness in his eyes, Breena made up her mind. Without much more of a thought, Breena slid her arms around his neck, hugging him gently. She carefully slid her arm down his armored one, giding it around her back, so that he had one arm wrapped around her. She kissed the tip of his nose and smiled softly. " I don't care.. " Then her mouth found his in a surprisingly slow, and soft kiss. Her fingers curled up through his hair, and for a moment she paused, wondering if he indeed wanted to continue..later wondering if he even had a choice...

Kel smiled at her words and excepted her lips, with his armored arm, he pulled her close to himself again, tight, his armored hand cold as night, his other hand clasped her cheek. He slowly leaned forward pushing her down to the bed. He broke the kiss to look into her eyes, smiling. His hands moving to hers, clasping them. Slowly he leans his head to hers, keeping his eyes fixed upon her own.
Nothing was going to keep him from this now, not his burden, not his enemies, not the world, he would defy the gods themselves if they dared to interrupt this moment. He was with her, and she was with him, he reveled in this, shamelessly.
His body pressed against hers, slowly sliding his arms around her body, holding her, keeping her in his embrace, knowing that she wanted, needed to be held close to him. To feel protected, to know that he was with her, to feel warm, to feel at peace, to push away the world, to only exist in this moment, this night.
Before to day he did not know how empty he felt, being this close to her, her presence filled a void in him, the burden he carried feeling less heavy, the darkness that seemed to follow him, falling back away slightly. He himself was at peace, more so than he can remember, more so than he has been in a long time.
He slowly moved his lips to her, not kissing her, but stopping once more, holding his face intimately close to hers, looking into her eyes once more.

Breena shivered as the contrast of the cold arm hit her burning flesh, goosebumps raised along her pale skin and they soon faded as he pushed her backward onto the bed. Her legs unfolded and entwined around his, caressing his clothed legs with her feet. She felt deprived of oxygen, of heat as he pulled away from her, had she been a tad more desperate ( if that were possible ), perhaps she would have whimpered.
A small smile touched upon her lips as she gazed into his brown eyes, her nose rubbing against his, then her lips gently brushed where her nose had. His scent alone sent her mind whirling far away, she began to act purely on instinct. The taste upon her lips intoxicated her, she felt herself rise up against him, wanting - needing more of him. Gazing into his eyes one last time, she caught the familiar glimmer, and that was all she needed, instantly her lips found his, her mouth warm and wet encouraged him.

Kelador did not merely accept the kiss, he returned it with equal fervor. Closing his eyes, he had ignored the other senses that were excited by her. Her touch, her smell, and the taste of her lips, how could he forget these!?
Tighter he held her, closer he tried to bring her. He could not believe he desired a person so. He could not believe that he was capable of this much want, desire, need. With his other sense awakened to her, he increased the fervor of his kiss. Air, who needed it now? She would sustain him, he was hers, and only hers. The beast within would too bow before her, and for tonight it did. The beast within, it pushed away deep within him, this woman...Breena, her mere presence filled him so much so that all the darkness within could do was move out of the way. Tonight, it did it stood against her presence the same way a mouse stands to a horse.
Her warmth, her presence, brought him to ecstasy, brought him joy he had long forgotten, an involuntary tear escaped his eye. Overwhelmed with emotion because of her. Joy for being with her, sadness for realizing how empty and alone he was before this night. And anger for those who would potentially ruin this moment. So many emotions, too much to think about, they too were nothing compared to this moment, he would deal with them later. For now, all his focus was on her. His candle in the darkness, his blanket against the cold, his shelter from the storm.

Images flitted across Breena's distant eyes, her conscious was not sure if she were dreaming, or merely thinking through all that had played before her. Since her earlier dream, and then her encounter with.. Kelador, she had a difficult time deciphering what was real and what wasn't.. Breena could see light everywhere, it almost hurt her eyes to look around, she wondered how the sun could already be so strong so early, or was it truly early? How long had she spent in Kelador's arms? Still the intoxicating scent of their bodies mingling tainted her mind; it fogged her reasoning still, why hadn't she fled? Not caring momentarily as she basked in the light, her mind drifted a bit further, her ears picking up a soft lull of a voice. It soothed her, the sound familiar, and comforting. " We're almost there..." The voice murmured in a sing-song tone... At first Breena gave into the voice, her body relaxing further, falling deeper into the coma likeness... and then, just as before she heard a rumble of discontent... She looked to the side, shadows began to sprawl forth, like fingers grabbing and pulling Breena out of her trance. When she came to she snapped to her feet, nearly screaming in horror. They were coming, someone was coming.. She was coming...
Forgetting that Kelador was still in the room, she began to hurriedly dress herself, had she not have to at least try to blend in and not look so obvious, she probably would have skipped her clothes and rode away in the nude.

Kelador awoke with her scream, he quickly sat up, looking around the room. It was morning, this was the first night he slept that he could remember where the beast did not give him nightmares. But he could not bask in that pleasant thought long. The woman whom he'd so quickly fallen for, so quickly connected with, whose scent covered his body, which he enjoyed the smell of, was getting dressed in a hurry. He sensed light, not of the sun, but a more mystical force. She could see the fear in her face.
"Lo..." he caught his tongue, he did not want to scare her with such words at this point "Breena...what's wrong? " he got out of bed, and put on his pants "Are you ok?"

Breena's panicked eyes searched around, she grasped the side of her head as she tried to collect her thoughts. Not being one of a panic-stricken manner, this sensation felt odd to her, and in that alone it frightened her. She had rarely been panicked.. it wasn't a plesant feeling at all.
With a slightly saner tone to her eyes she looked upon Kelador, the softness that should've have been there, that a piece of her wanted so desperately to be there, was now gone. She had to run, far away, and had she the slightest morsel of regret she knew she would want to stay. Whoever these people are, they want her, so desperately...
The woman could feel tears stinging her eyes, but as of yet she was not sure if they were tears of frustration, or the thought of loneliness again. " Out, you must get out! " Breena spoke breathlessly, and a little too quick. She tried so hard to remain calm, to at least appear sane. Her hand began to reach toward him, but stopped midway. She couldn't touch him, knowing that if her hand brushed against his skin she had no way of stopping herself. " Leave now Kelador.... Now! " Grabbing her sword she turned to leave the room. She knew her brothers had finally made it back, but hadn't a room to sleep in. The fools were left to sleep in the stable, and they deserved it.

Kelador was taken a back from her sudden mood change, but he knew she was panicked, he knew this feeling all to well. He grabbed her arm as she strode past him, firmly, getting a good grasp on his arm, but too rough to hurt her
"what's going on? what's wrong? what's got you so scared?" Feeling brave at this point, he pulled her close into his embrace, holding her "tell me...i'll help you..." He wrapped an arm around her, not wanting to let go, he felt angry and enraged, what force dare disturb the first respite he had in a long time? what force dare do this to one he had so hopeless fallen for?

The woman didn't dare look at him as he now held her still, against her own will. Inside she battled greatly, wondering if railing against him was the only way to break free. She didn't want to hurt him, she didn't want to break whatever he had become over night. He had exposed his emotions, his soul so freely, and so beautifully to her. How could she break that? How could she crush his softness.
Softness... She felt his arms embrace her, and instead of relaxing against his warmth, the scent of his skin, the heat of his flesh, she tensed. Every thought in her mind screamed out that she should run.. She licked her lips to moisten them, her eyes avoiding the exposed skin. She willed her mind to block his scent, it was time to go.
" No.. This shouldn't have happened. This is ridiculous.. " Breena drew her arms up and pushed herself away from him, her nails curling into the flesh on her palms. " You can't help me, you can't even help yourself. Go back to wherever you were prior to meeting me. You'd be a hell of a lot better off. Stop wasting time.. get out.. ! She growled her words as she headed for the door. She paused when she heard deep voices down stairs, it wasn't her brothers... The keeper was directing them up stairs, and to her quarters..
Breena muttered a curse as she floated across the room, her hand pushed the window open, her eyes scanning the rooftop of the abutting stable. " Leave me alone, Kelador. I mean it.." She hissed her words, and crouched down like a feline.. her muscles coiled and uncoiled, launching her into the air. She landed gracefully atop of the flat roof of the barn, and with ease she hopped down to the ground, soundlessly.
Bree entered the barn, spotting her three brothers right away. She kicked them awake, whispered to them to saddle up and buy a horse, if they had not done so yet. By the time they were done settling their new mounts, she was already saddled and ready to go.

Kelador looked at her confused, his face tensed at her words, and he watcher silently as she fled. He moved to his room, dressed, strapped his sword to his back. She was driving him away, why? He had to know why.
He quickly left his room and stood atop the stairs and blocked the men that were coming up. Were these men the reason she fled through the window? They had to have been. Kelador began to see red, these men would pay for scaring Breena away, for ruining what peace he had.
He kicked the first one with unnatural strength, sending him back into his companions, he watched as they fell down the stairs onto their backs.
He jumped from the top of stairs, landing beyond the men, he quickly turned and grabbed one of them by the throat, growling, his eyes turning black. He threw the man through the door of the inn, breaking it with the force of the throw, sending the man sprawling on the street.
He followed, slowly, methodically "WHO ARE YOU!? WHY ARE YOU HERE!?" Kelador yelled the questioned at the winded and bewildered man, once again he grabbed the man by the throat, lifting him off his feet, he held tight, but lose enough to let the man answer.

The brothers groggily mounted their horses at first, their eyes widening and their senses awakening as they recognized the look in Breena's eyes as panic. Fallon being the eldest, and also the one who had abducted Breena from this land ( her home, ) grimaced, he moved his horse in front of Tor, who was growing more and more furious as his mistress' own rage boiled over.
Breena grit her teeth, her hands clutching her reins tightly as she heard the brawl from within. She bowed her head, her blue eyes slowly raising to glance at the nearby citizens. At once she was horrified to find she had forgotten her cloak in her panic. She heard their whispers, they knew. She was Riordan's daughter, it was evident. It was in her eyes, in her jaws, she held the arrogant air he was known for, and the deep ocean blue eyes that caused so many women to swoon. The appropriate age for the little one that had so long ago disappeared....
Tor began to toss his head in protest to the cruel hands that grasped his reins, he began to dance and almost buck. Gasping, Breena almost dropped the reins completely, she gave him a firm pat, apologizing. " Let's g....." Breena saw the guard fly through the Inn's door, she choked as she heard Kelador's voice rumble forth. It was like the rumble she heard not once, but twice in her dream.. The rumble that ward off that....woman. Why did she care if these men were pummeled into the dirt? They deserved it, for.. What was it they did exactly? A chestnut brow twitched as she tried to reason with her - reason. Why should she stop him... Could she even stop him?
Breena allowed Tor to trot off, she directed him toward Kel, stopping only a few feet beside him. She dared not to mount, her nerves still too on edge to even think of staying. " Don't.. " She paused, biting her tongue. She didn't want to speak his name, not in front of these people... These men.. " Don't harm them.. Let them be. If they follow me further... I *will* handle them myself. Breena glowered at the men, she heard the growing crowd gasp. She wondered if it were her words, or Kelador's actions, mayhaps both.. " Let him go..." She said a bit softer, coaxing him gently.. All the while her legs twitched in anticipation to send her mount far far away.
The man being held by Kelador was reluctant to answer the question, he eyed Breena - his eyes soft, never once hardening. Not even when he and his men were attacked. They hardly defended themselves at all. One brave man edged his way closer to Breena's side, careful as not to provoke the man's obvious wrath. He dropped to a knee and bowed his head. " My Lady... We mean no offense to you... It's been......so long.. She seeks you.... She needs you... She said you would understand... "
At first Breena's mind raced toward her sword, and as he groveled dangerously close to Tor's massive hooves, she relaxed. Then, her nerves anxiety renewed at the mention of the woman, she growled. " I don't understand! Tell your witch to leave me be.. or there will be consequences...." Bree was surprised to see that her words held weight against this man's... He was acting like..her servant. Confusion entered her mind, though she did not let anyone see this. The man stood with his head bowed, and he walked backward until he was a respectful distance away from the woman, and he turned away from her.
The man held at Kelador's mercy rasped his words out softly, so only Kelador could hear him. " She said that you would keep Breena safe.." He smiled weakly, nodding once for approval.

Kelador let go of the mans throat. He dropped the man to the floor. Kel was confused at his words. He stormed over to Breena. He looked up scowling at her. "I thought I was to forget all this happened. What is it to you what I do with these men?"
kel again looked at the men, then he looked at the crowd. He quickly closed his eyes, forcing them to change back to their natural brown colour. He again looked up at Bree, her words still fresh in his mind. Still feeling their sting, his eyes bloodshot, whether from fightingback tears or anger, only he knew. "I....forget it...I'll be on my way". Kelador simply did not have the desire to fight. Seeing her, and the feelings he had, and what she did, he was simy to crestfallen to care. He simply walked Away from her not looking back

Breena felt Tor wheel away from the large man, taking the precautionary step away from him. She murred softly to the horse, stroking his wither gently. The woman saw the challenging look in his eyes, and the hairs upon her neck raised. She narrowed her almond eyes, hissing through her teeth. " Don't be a careless fool. They haven't even made a move toward their sword, and you would slaughter them before you hear their case. " Bree wanted to eat her own words, hadn't she done that in the past herself? She swirled her tongue around in her mouth, not liking the way the words felt upon her lips.
Unsettled, (not by Kel), Breena watched as the soft brown eyes returned, it pained her to see his strain of emotion welling in his eyes. She wondered if she had a similar look, or if she even seemed bothered by the transaction. Clenching her fists around her reins again, she glared at the crowd, and let out a frustrating cry. With a quick jab to the ribs, Tor was off like a bat out of hell, kicking dust up in his wake.

Kel watched her take off on her horse. Almost as a symbol of his life. Good things constantly being driven away from him. But not this time, he wouldn't let this happen. He'd given too much of himself to allow this to happen.
He ran into the stable and jumped on a horse. A worker on the stable demanded money, Kelador gave him a swift kick, sending the working sprawling to the ground "i'll return the horse"
He kicked the sides of the horse and went off after Breena. No he would not let this go. He was tired of walking away from everything. He wanted an explanation. He knew she felt the same way, and he wanted to know why she would drive him. He had to show her that he would protect her, he had the means. Though they may come from dark sources, he would twist them to his will to use them to protect...yes, protect the one he loved. One night with this woman was enough for him to know, he loved this woman. He knew little about her, but he did not care. He was hers now, and he would make her see that.

The crowd murmured as the group strode off, they stared in disbelief as the first daughter of King Riordan and Queen Neraoh vanished once again. Sadness washed over their faces, as they mourned yet again.
The Donovan's weren't far behind Breena, Fallon was the closest and he began to make his way toward his sister. He would have made a remark about seeing the stranger again, but now was not the time. Breena was frantic enough as it were, her deepest fear had become a reality, and he had no intentions on provoking anymore wrath than he felt was already coming.... " Breena, slow down, we're out of the City! " He grumbled, trying to push his horse on past Tor, knowing that it was nigh impossible.
Breena whipped her head around to glance at Fallon, her eyes narrowing in a lethal glare. She wanted to spit on him to lash out, this was completely his fault! Against her better judgment she halted her horse, she glanced over her shoulder to see that none of the guards were pursuing her, but to her disbelief she saw a dark figure on horse galloping toward them. Tor took a quick ten foot sprint as a reaction to Breena's tension. She gripped upon his sides with her legs, cueing him forward, but holding him back with the reins. He whirrled his head around, snorting with displeasure. "No... Breena stared with wide eyes, dreading what was to come.

Kelador slowed the horse down and stopped a few paces (for the horse at least) away from the group. He looked them all over, taking in the surroundings, any shadows for him to'use, and their proximity to him.
Then he looked Bree dead in the eyes his. His face showed great anger, his eyes feigned it. Only person who could tell they were in fact sad, would be Bree. She alone knew him well enough now to see. He growled and yelled out "WHY!?". The ground shook as yelled the words, animals near by scattered in fright.
