Breena swallowed hard as his eyes focused upon her form, she saw his eyes glimmer with a familiar life to them, and then Dryke disappeared. She closed her eyes, lowering her head. There was no possible way she could defeat him now, not now. Not when she was still weak. She accepted her defeat and let her form fall to it’s knees, her head sunk low.
The woman didn’t have to glanced up to know he was stalking toward her, she knew he would need to satiate his rage, and the rage craved blood, as well as death. Chestnut locks of hair cascaded forward, falling to the floor beneath her, Breena’s cheeks were crimson, and stained with tears. She didn’t dare glance up until she heard the footsteps cease, slowly her gaze met his and she saw the clarity within them, though she didn’t dare to stand, (unsure if she could even muster the energy to.)

His own eyes pained at what he almost did, walking forward again, he paused infront of her. Reaching down to cup her chin lightly, leaning as far down as he could, getting on one knee to kiss her forehead. With a sigh he carefully wiped the tears from her cheeks as he whispered, "I had summoned them earlier...but had no intention on using them...When I saw you," Rheavon's voice broke for a second as he wrapped his arms around her, "saw you at his mercy..." Trailing off he doesn't finish, doesn't think he needed to finish.
Letting go of her, he twisted to the side, sitting down next to her, with a frown. Having a feeling she was about to berate him for his carelessness, resigning himself to it for now as it was the only way he could have gotten rid of Dryke this time. The man's images had gotten better...

At first she averted her eyes from his, her chin resisting his touch, and then she succumb to it, she wanted so much to lash out at him, but she knew it was not his fault entirely. Cerulean eyes met his once again, her vision blurred by the sting of her tears. She closed them at last, tears trickling down her face just in time for him to wipe them away. It was then her pain settled in, it took the remaining strength she had to ignore what she could. She opened her eyes to look upon him, she outstretched her good arm and cupped his cheek, he pulled away from her and sat by her side.
It was within her to ream him a new one, how she wanted to, but it was not the time, nor the place. They wouldn’t have been in this predicament if it wasn’t for Fallon, and that girl. Breena’s eyes shot wide open. The girl! Breena quickly drew herself to her feet, her form weaving side to side lightly. ” Where is the girl? Is she safe? “

Leaning backwards against the wall he sighs, letting his eyes close, "Girl?" Frowning he let his eyes open slowly, glancing over at her, "I had heard Dryke had been after a Girl...but who is she? It wouldn't have been the girl who pointed me this way..." Trailing off he frowned further.
Biting his lip, he carefully started to inspect her wounds, most of them appeared to be shallow. He didn't doubt any of them were painful, but the bleeding was stopping on its own already. Her arm however was a different story. Already had it become swollen from the fractured bone, shaking his head he slowly climbed to his feet, reaching out he took her good hand and said, "Come...we need to get you to someone who can get that swelling down and splint your arm."

Breena stared out of the Cathedral’s entrance, she wondered if the girl was still in the barn or if she had made a run for it. Dryke was out there once again, and the gods only knew if he had his minions out searching for her. A frown drew a heavy expression on her face. ” The girl is Fallon’s cousin. I didn’t have long before she darted away. I had to chase her…" Breena paused as Rheavon finished his words, the burning fury returned to her gaze as she stared up at him, her voice came out as smooth as an intoxicating liquid. Most knew it to be the most dangerous of tones. ” Tell me, Rheavon.. Was this girl.. In a stable..did she have flame red hair?” Breena stubbornly pulled away from Rheavon as he pursuaded her to leave, she was not leaving until he gave her a straight answer.

Looking at her curiously, he could tell that something was getting at her...could it have been the girl? Retracting his hand he said, "Yes...that would be her." Biting his lip he goes on, "She was fine when I left, I didn't know she was related to this whole thing." Taking a few more steps away from Breena he shook his head, staring out the door, ironically in the same direction that Dryke teleported in.

Breena’s mouth fell agape, she wanted to pummel Rheavon into the floor, but how was he to know it was the girl? There was no way of him knowing. Breena felt weakened by the rush of her emotions, but she needed to push herself onward. Before she knew it she was practically running toward the exit, she stumbled here and there and as she reached the threshold her eyes darted around for Tor. ”Damnit..” She had forgotten him at the stable. There was no way he could hear her from this distance, and so she continued out into the busy streets, her mind far from Rheavon, she hadn’t even thought that he may disprove of her venturing out whilst wounded.

Chased after her, catching up to her rather quickly due to her injured body. Shaking his head, he grabbed her by the shoulders, stepping infront of her, meeting her eyes with his, seeing the worry for the girl, he sighed. Manhandling her as gently as he can, trying not to aggrivate her wounds further, but making sure she doesn't get away, he forces her down onto a seat at the road side. "You are not going anywhere by yourself. Finding the girl does you no good if you fall and break your fool of a neck from those injuries."
Biting his lip he scanned the area, "Dryke would be a fool to still be here...so, stay put. I'll go check for her." Leaning down he met her eyes with his, his own eyes saying the very thing his words were, adding additional emphase..."Stay here..."
As Rheavon turned to walk away, a slight grin spread across his features, "Well that makes it easier." Tapping Breena on the shoulder, he pointed in the direction that Fallon was walking in, the small girl's hand in his, following along beside.

Breena struggled against Rheavon, though it pained her greatly she would not subject herself to a weak role, not now. However, she was in no physical condition to war with the man, she sighed out of frustration, her form lowering to a bench on the roadside. She nearly melded into the bench, her body riddled with pains and weariness. ” Don’t preach to me, Rheavon. Not now. “ She glared at him, she was not just wounded on the outside, but her pride stung as well. When he gazed into her eyes with warning, she met him with ferocity.
As Rheavon turned to walk away, she had her plans whirling around in her mind, what routes she would take to avoid him at all costs, but to find her brother’s and the girl..When she noticed he turned back around, her eyes glanced past him, and to Fallon, who had the girl.
Breena sighed a sigh of relief and she stood to her feet, making her way over to her brother and the girl. Leila smiled softly, letting go of Fallon’s hand. She hurried up to Breena and threw her arm’s around her torso, squeezing her tightly. ” You were so brave! You saved me..oh thank you! “ The young girl began to weep, Breena gently pat the back of her neck, and smiled weakly. ” I assure you, it was idiocy and not bravery..” She glanced up at Fallon, his expression changing from joy to worry in an instant. He had caught sight of her wounded arm and the cuts as well as bruises.

Followed a little behind, his eyes watching as Fallon looked at Breena's wounds, letting out a soft sigh he said, "Unfortunately the man got away....the one who did this, but have my word he won't go without punishment. I know who he is and where his known hideouts were. I will find him." Growling he cursed himself a fool, he should have known the girl was important.
Not really knowing what to do, he turned away, figuring to give them time to talk as he slowly made his way back to the cathedral. He was going to see if Dryke left anything behind.

Fallon's harsh gaze settled upon Rheavon, he knew he wasn't responsible for his sister's wounds, and knew he fought well for her, yet he kept those words to himself. When his grey eyes settled upon his sister again he grimaced, his strong hand brushing her cheek. " Ye need tah be restin'.." He said, in more of a demand than a statement. Breena nodded in agreement, her knees wobbling before her form fell to the ground.
" Aye..that I do.."
Leila gasped as Breena collapsed before her, tears welling up in her eyes as she did so. She stood there, defenseless. " Someone fix her! "
Finn strode in atop of his mount, Tor tagging along beside him. Breena smiled softly as she saw her steed, his ebon eyes blazing with fury as he saw his companion upon the ground.

Entered into the cathedral again, glancing around as he looked for any sign of where Dryke had been. Checking the shadows where he knew the man had hidden. Looking for any sign that will tell him where Dryke was more than likely heading...well thats what it looked like Rheavon was doing.
Intruth he was mentally berating himself, not with comments of if he had gotten here sooner, and the such. Nothing would have gotten him there faster, he was angry at himself for leaving in the first place. Why did he assume that Dryke was after him? If he had not been such a fool, he would have been here from the start. Even if Dryke had been after him, he needed to learn to trust in others. He loved Breena, loved her with everything he had...Not only because of her beauty, but because she was one of the strongest woman he knew. She could stand up for herself and hold of Rheavon in one on one combat...All this and why didn't he trust that she could take care of herself if the attack had come on him?
Glancing down at his hand, he slowly clenched it into a fist, his knuckles turning white as he started to shake lightly. It wasn't the rage from the swords, just a rage within him. Turning on his heel he quickly drove his fist into the wooden pillar, a quick wince crossing his lips as he felt the wood crack and a dull pain throbbing quickly into his arm. Letting his fist fall to his side as he twisted, his back pressing against the post as he slowly slide down...staring at the wall across from him.

Fallon swept over his sister's form, his broad arms picking her up within his grasp easily. Breena grimaced and layed her head against his shoulder, her eyes sliding shut. " I feel mortal.." She muttered, laughing softly. Fallon sought to find the humor in it, but failed. He eyed Finn and jerked his head toward the Cathedral.
" Yer beast has been goin' mad..He misses ye. " Fallon walked toward Tor, he stood there patiently, his eyes frantic as Fallon placed Breena in the saddle.
She sat atop of her steed, her form slumped forward as she pet his neck, reassuring him. Breena didn't know if she could ride for long, she needed rest and though she desperately wanted to return to home..Rheavon's home. She knew her body needed to rest at least one night within the city's walls.
After Finn dismounted he took a few strides of a jog into the cathedral, he glanced around the building as he searched for Rheavon. He spotted him and proceded forward. " She will be fine, aye. She's been into worse, I assure ye. " He smiled briefly and squatted before the Drow. " She ain't mad at ye either..just tired and sore. Fallon is taken her to the Red Cross Inn." He nodded and stood to his full stature again, not quite as tall as Rheavon, but not far from it.

Glanced up at the brother as he had entered, nodding slightly as the man approached, listening to his words before nodding again, "I know...that is not what bothers me..." Standing up he met Finn's eyes, shrugging a bit as he said, "But it won't happen again..." Forcing a small smile he stretched and gave the room another quick scan, "He didn't leave anything, but I'm sure we will met again. Dryke was given a contract to kill the girl. Whether he comes back for revenge on me or not again is neither here nor there, the organization doesn't allow for failure on jobs...Dryke will be back, or he will find that he is to be targeted next." Trails off lightly, glancing at the spot that Dryke had hid in.
Absently rubbing his hand he started to walk out of the cathedral with Finn, saying lightly, "Lets head back...I'm sure Breena could use the company while she rests."

Leila pleaded with Fallon to let her ride with Breena, and the woman gave in. She was in no mood to argue, and little by little her mood was taking a turn for the worse. Breena dared not to even glance down at her throbbing arm. With her spare hand she took hold of the reins, the good arm was wrapped around Leila. She found her eyes glancing toward the cathedral, waiting for Rheavon to exit.
Finn glanced at the cracked wood, he held back a chuckle as he walked along side of Rheavon. " She would like that, to be sure.."

Quietly exiting the cathedral, he looked over at where Breena sat on her horse, the small girl infront of her. A soft smile crossing his lips as his eyes met hers. Striding towards them, he quickly focused his mind, banishing the two blades back to their hold. It took a moment, neither of the sentient swords wanting to leave their owner, but Rheavon finally sent them back. The sheathes twisting and shrinking as they were suddenly filled with the two smaller short swords he had arrived wearing.
Coming up beside Tor, Rheavon layed a hand softly on her thigh as he looked up at her, "Lets go get you some rest."

Finn parted from Rheavon's side and took up his own mount. He sat there, a bored expression plastered upon his face, much different from the sympathetic one he held not moments ago. He stretched an arm outward, yawning loudly as he slumped forward on the pommel of the saddle.
Breena's hand slid from the reins then landed upon Rheavon's hand, she stroked his fingers lightly, offering him a light smile. She nodded, offering no argument in that. She was tired, not only mentally, but physically as well. " Let's go then.." She murmured.
Leila squirmed in front of Breena, her little body trying to get comfortable on the pommel. She sighed softly and played with a few locks of Tor's mane; his withers twitched in annoyance, or due to being ticklish. Either way she stopped before speaking. " Miss Breena..I'll stay with you tonight to look after you. I promise I'll do a good job!" She peered over at Rheavon, her emerald eyes soft and pleading.
Breena wanted the girl to stay with her tonight, not because she wanted her company, but because she knew it would be difficult for the young girl to feel comfort in the presence of the men. She also wanted to be able to keep a watchful eye on her, despite her own conditions. She eyed Rheavon as well, her eyes not so soft, and not so pleading, but more of a demanding nature.

Shrugging lightly he had no argument, the girl had been through a lot as well and would probably find comfort. Nodding he says, "I see no problem with it, I will be there too, but I'll just take the second bed." Smiling back at the girl he looked up at Breena, trying not to chuckle at the look she had been giving him.
With that he started to walk beside the horse as they all made their way towards the inn. He had left his horse behind at the very beginning.
Knowing that in her condition, Breena wasn't about to go faster than a walk, he just kept his hand on her thigh and kept pace with the mount as they all went down the street together.

It felt like it took them an eternity to reach the Inn, at least it did to Breena. She groaned as they came to a halt, already the streets were lit with lamps, the sky was beginning to blacken, and the vendors were closing up their shops.
Breena let go of the reins and waited for Fallon to grab Leila from Tor. She felt a wave of dizziness pass over her, and she wasn't sure if it was from exhaustion, or perhaps a fever. The stubborn woman fought the feeling away and before Rheavon could assist her she slid down her mount, her feet landing upon the cobblestone. She instantly regretted the motion as the dizziness did not fade, she instead crashed head first into Rheavon's broad chest. She brought her hand up to stroke it gently, her lips smiling, but her eyes distant.
Finn dismounted, he gently took a hold of Tor's reins and led him into the stable, tonight he would have to address his sister's mount. She was in no condition to be doing such. Tonight he was the stablehand.

Quickly caught Breena, keeping her from falling he put an arm around her, holding her up. Knowing no matter what she will want to walk, he smiled, letting her slip an arm over his shoulder and having her lean on him. Guiding her into the inn, he nodded to the innkeep. The man noticing her wounds, called over the number of a room, telling them they can clear up the bill in the morning.
Smiling in thanks he lead Breena down the hall, pushing the door open and guiding her to the edge of the bed. Letting her down gently so she is sitting at the foot of the bed. Smiling softly as he cups her cheek, leaning close to kiss her, "I'm glad your safe..." Not knowing what else to say, his hand lingered on her cheek for a moment before he pulled away, heading across the room to the other bed and climbing in himself.
