The morning light was soon sweeping over the land, and already preperations were being made for the journey. A knock came upon Rheavon's door, and then several others, with a groan Breena tossed the covers to the side and grabbed a hold of Rheavon's robe. She wrapped herself in it and briskly walked toward the door. When the door was opened she saw Laurre's face peering up at her. " Oh, M'lady.." Laurre bit her bottom lip to keep from giggling. Not amused in the least, Breena quirked a brow, her voice still ladden with sleep. " What is it?" " I thought you may want breakfast before you were off.. and I was wondering if anyone has told Leila yet? " Breena nodded to the breakfast and sighed when she mentioned Leila. " No, we aren't speaking still. Go wake her, tell her to ready herself, and eat.. Will that be all? "
Laurre smiled softly and curtsied before Breena, she gently took the hand with a ring upon it and kissed it. " Congratulations, M'Lady.. you've been as scarce as Leila the past week, and I have yet to congratulate you on your engagement to the Lord.." Breena smiled softly and drew herself away from the door, she turned her head away and murmured softly. " Thank you, sister.. " Laurre shut the door.
Breena slipped the robe from her form and slid under the warm covers again, she yawned into the pillows, refusing to believe it was already morning. She hadn't enough rest last night, and she craved more sleep.

Waking moments later, Rheavon gently put his arm on her shoulder. Smiling sleepily as he leaned over and kissed her cheek before climbing from bed. Walking to the window he looked out over the courtyard, wiping the sleep from his eyes as he sighed. Today was the day they were leaving, still not sure as to what was in store for them, he fretted a bit.
Shaking his head he turned away, walking past the foot of the bed, pausing to glance over at Breena's sleeping form with a smile. She was everything to him...While he knew she didn't need it, he wasn't going to let anything happen to her on this trip.
Taking one last look, Rheavon absently licked his lips before going to the closet and starting to pull on his travel clothes. Packing a small travel bag with a few changes as he got ready.

Laurre gently rapped upon Leila's door and when there was no response she entered the room shyly. " Leila.." She called out softly, still no response, she decided to walk up to her bed. When she got to the edge she placed a hand upon her shoulder and gently shook, whilst calling her name again. It was easy to see she had been up most the night in tears, her eyes were swollen and when she spoke she was quite stuffed.
Leila came to with a jolt and gasp, and when she realized it was Laurre she calmed herself. " What is it, what's wrong? " She gathered the blankets up to her chin, chilled by the cold air in the room. " Nothing is wrong. I figured you'd want to eat before your journey.." Laurre smiled softly, she was not exactly pleased with the girl for the tone she took with Breena. The young woman understood the girl's hasty reasonings, but Breena wasn't a daft woman in the least, she knew what she was doing. " Journey..? " Leila's mouth gaped open, still her mind was laiden with sleep and she could not piece together what she meant by that. Did Rheavon kick her out of the manor? A frown creased the corners of her lips. " Back to your lands, to honor your parents..." Laurre lowered her eyes, she didn't want to butt into her Lady's business, but how she wanted to knock this girl down a peg or two.
Leila nodded, her eyes planted firmly upon the ground as Laurre asked if she wanted breakfast, she simply nodded. She hadn't even noticed when Laurre walked away, until she heard the latch of her door and the young woman was gone.
The rustling of the bag brought Breena's slumber to an end, her eyes flicked open and darted toward the source of the sound. When she saw Rheavon packing she leaped out of bed and wrapped the robe around herself, cursing rather loudly. " Why didn't you wake me? " She frowned and walked up to him, giving him a quick kiss to his cheek before turning away. " I have to get ready, I'll see you at the horses.." Combing her fingers through her hair she began to walk away, a grin tugging at her lips as she recalled the previous night.

Catching her before she could get to far he gave her a warm hug, giving her a good morning kiss with a wry grin, letting her go shortly after, "Sounds good...I'll be down shortly." Grabbing the last piece of clothing and sliding it into the bag before he threw it over his shoulder and left the bedroom shortly after Breena.
Striding down the hall, he happened upon Paitre along the way. Speaking softly as it was still rather early, he gave Paitre directions for the next few weeks. Listing off his plans and what he wanted to get done. Paitre, having heard all this before and knowing the Lord's business nearly better than himself, just gave a mousy grin and spoke, "We will have everything under control till your return."
Rheavon looked at the man for a moment before he started to laugh, "Yes, of course you will. Thank you Paitre."
As the small man bowed, he returned, "Breakfast is waiting for you."
Nodding lightly Rheavon silently entered the dining area where a second pack of travel ready provisions waited as well as food laid out. Sitting down, he quickly ate a small plateful before getting up, grabbing the second pack and darting out to meet Breena at the horses.

Laurre met up with Breena in the hallway, a plate of food resting in her hands. " I'm sorry, Laurre, but I don't have time to eat.." Bree sighed softly, quirking a brow as she read the young woman's expression. " Yes you do. I packed your bag, prepared your food tote, and I took care of the others too. " She smiled and gently lifted the plate up.
Bree wrinkled her nose up and took a slice of fresh sweet bread before she began to walk toward her room. Laurre followed with the plate, she wouldn't be satisified until Breena ate all of her breakfast. " You have barely eaten a thing these past few days, and I'm going to make sure you eat well before your journey." Laurre's soft voice attempted to sound strong for once, but it didn't quite make it.
Breena sighed as she dressed herself, eyeing Laurre and then the plate. Every so often in between her running about the room she would nibble on some of the food, and it seemed to appease Laurre. After she was done dressing, eating, and speaking with Laurre she shouldered her packs, it was time to head to the horses. " Make sure Finn and Liam stay out of trouble..." She winked before heading out the door.
Breena jogged toward the stable, she could hear Tor's hooves dancing in anticipation, and a smile tugged upon her lips. When she entered the stable she laughed as she saw Rheavon. " I had every intention on being here first...but Laurre forced me to eat.." Bree strapped her packs to the saddle and looked up at Rheavon.

Laughed lightly as he finished setting his packs on his horse, the mount having already been otherwise prepared by Paitre, "Every attention and yet still to slow!" Smiled as he lightly teased her, walking over he gave her a quick hug, looking into her eyes for a moment as he went on, "Are you ready for this?"
Giving her cheek a quick kiss before he lightly pulled away awaiting her answer. Glancing around as Fallon arrived, followed closely by Leila, both having packs over their shoulder and dressed ready to go.

Breena groaned softly as he teased her, she pursed her lips and pulled the leather straps tight on the pack. With a mock frown she regarded Rheavon, returning his hug gingerly. " She made a buffet for me, and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if part of it came back up.." She pat her full belly, somewhat dreading the jarring motions of riding.
Breena did a few double checks of her tack, as well as her horse. She had no complaints, Micah had prepared him well, yes Micah - .. where was he? Bree quirked a brow as she glanced around the large stable. " I'm ready.. come what may.." Breena mumbled, speaking as she looked to and fro, but no Micah. She pursed her lips and quirked a brow, her reins in hand. A light smile came to her lips as she received the kiss, and her eyes traveled to a figure behind Rheavon, it was Fallon. A petite figure was skulking toward the stable, Breena could only imagine it was Leila, and when she saw the flaming red locks of curls, it was confirmed. She seemed to be speaking to someone, someone that Breena could not see. She quirked a brow and waited until she drew closer, when she did her eyes beheld Micah. Within his grasp he held not only her packs, but another set as well.
" I'm so happy you could join me. I still haven't spoken to Breena... I don't know how.." Leila muttered the last bit. " It's my pleasure... Breena isn't as hard to speak to as you may think, nor is she as shallow hearted as you --" Micah was cut off mid-sentence. " I beg your pardon! " She shot him an icy glare. " You may freeze me with your stare, but there is truth to my words. Heed them, she adores you, and has sacrificed much for your safety. I believe that is only the beginning.." Micah glanced over at Leila for the first time, his arm shifted the packs around. One would expect an explosion to spew forth from Leila's mouth, or eyes from his speech, but the way he spoke them in a calm, matter of fact way, had just the opposite affect.
When Leila and Micah entered the stable Breena approached them, Tor tagging along behind his mistress. " Good morning, Leila..Micah.." She nodded, but didn't await a response from either. " Are you to be accompanying us, Micah?" A chestnut brow quirked. Micah cleared his throat, his eyes lowering to settle upon Breena's matching pair. He smiled before speaking, bowing gracefully. " If I am allowed to do so. Leila has requested my presence." Breena nodded her approval, but did not speak another word. She simply walked her horse out of the stable and mounted.
Micah had already saddled up the horses the pair would use, and so he simply tied the packs upon the saddles. He walked them out of the stable, assisted Leila in mounting, then mounted his own horse.

Watching the exchange from next to the horse he was going to ride, he gave a silent sigh. Hopefully Leila and Breena would speak today so the silence that was passing between them can come to an end. Shaking his head lightly as Fallon came up beside him to speak, "I'm none too sure as how ye plan to run this entire gaunt, but would ye be so kindly to share."
A lopsided grin crossed Rheavon's lips for a moment as he cocked his head to look at the brother, chuckling softly as he whispered, "Well, I was thinking that first we would track that whelp down who is hiding in my woods. Then force him to lead us straight into the trap, spring it and kill everyone."
Fallon chuckled as he climbed up onto his own horse, "Kill everyone? I like it." Rheavon nodded as he finished getting on his own horse heading out of the barn as he spoke softly, "I thought you might." With that thought he started off towards the woods, knowing everyone followed suit. Once there he climbed from his mount, walking it along beside him as he searched the brush for signs of the spy.

As everyone gathered, their belongings fastened tightly to the saddle, the mounts ready to carry their burdens, Breena sat atop of Tor, staring, or rather glaring at Leila's form. She was astride a mare, similar to the one she became so fascinatied with. Breena was sure she fussed when the girl had heard that the mare was no longer fit to ride, but the mare could hardly walk let alone gallop.
" Leila is not to ride the entire journey. Once we are past the stretch of safety surrounding the manor, she is to dismount. " Breena's voice finally broke the silence in the crisp air. The words were spoken in a harsh tone, and not directly to the girl, it was her way of showing she ahd no intention on breaking the silence between them, yet.
Fallon quirked a brow, Micah followed suit, his lips twisting in protest, and then Leila's furrowed in frustration. She wanted her to walk? It was a long trek..Why did she...
" Micah don't look so cross. She will be less of a target walking betwixt the horses rather than sitting much like a duck on back of a horse." Breena pulled her cloak around her form, the chilled air reminded her how close winter was becoming. She suspected that they would see snow fall before the end of the journey, a thought she didn't exactly welcome.
As they traveled Breena was sure to stay behind everyone else, keeping Leila between Tor and Micah's mount. She didn't converse while she rode on, instead she mulled over the thoughts in her head. Once they came to a halt she too dismounted Tor, her nose wrinkling up as her eyes scanned the brush for recent disturbances. " I don't doubt before nightfall there will be blood shed.." She sighed as a finger brushed up against a snapped twig, her eyes finding Leila's form, not too far behind her.
Leila frowned as she dismounted the horse, it was time for her to now walk and though she understood the reasonings behind it, she could not help but feel as if it were punishment as well. A well deserved punishment, she thought. " I feel so awful still, Micah. I said horrible things to her, things I had no right to say, to speak of.." Idly she began to braid the silver locks of the nag, her nimble fingers stroking the hair smooth every time she pulled it through. " I believe an apology would clear that conscience of yours, and perhaps better your understanding of the dear Lady. She's not as heartless as one may believe. Why do you think Rheavon adores her so? Do you think a man as honorable as he would devote his heart to a callous wench? Laurre too, loves her as a sister, and serves her well. Let us not forget Tor, a noble creature, who trusts her above all.. Think on it Leila.." He smiled and lifted her chin with his index finger and thumb. His cerulean eyes glistened like precious gems, and he gave that knowing look, his head inclined as well. It was enough to make Leila feel ashamed once more, like a child being caught red handed stealing a hot cookie. " I know...I've done wrong by Breena.."

Rheavon glanced back as he saw Leila indignantly followed Breena's instructions. Glancing up at Fallon he offered him the reigns of his mount as she approached, "Can you hold onto her for a second? I want to find a trail." turning to Breena he went on, "Care to help? I'm looking for the trail of someone who has been hanging around here...I want to find him, to get a better idea of where exactly we need to go."
Turning from her, he began to go off to one side searching around the foliage lightly, careful not to disturb it too much as he looked around for any trace of someone's passing. His own thoughts drifting slightly as he searched, this was going to be a rather sour trip. Oh he had known from before that there would be a cloud hanging over the party, but if Leila didn't say something to Breena in the way of an apology soon...Well then this was just going to get ridiculous.
A light sigh escaped his lips as he returned to his search.

Breena's sharp eyes scanned the terrain for any disturbances she gently flicked a few leaves aside, careful as not to rustle lest they should crumble or tear. " I have heard about this only through Finn..." Breena paused for a moment, she had to move her head to the side to see Rheavon. She peered down her turned up nose as she continued. " I suppose you forgot to mention someone has been lurking in the woods." With pursed lips she turned her head away from him, she wasn't angered by the act, or lack there of, she was simply bored of the silence and wished to stir something up.

Finding what he was looking for he bent over the marks, trying to discern what he can about the person who made them. As Breena spoke, he glanced back at her as he commented back, "I had every intention of telling you, I swore not to hide anything like that from you again. When I learned of it was moments before Leila said some aweful things that we know she regrets. I did not think at that moment it was the right time to tell. I apologize for having let it slip my mind since then."
Sighing softly he returned his eyes to the tracks, letting them follow along in the direction the prowler went in. Shaking his head softly as he said to her again, "It is not Dryke that is here at least...He would never have left this much track, and the tracks don't match him for weight and such. He is a lot of things and he is not above trapping, but his pride is such a thing that he would never make himself look inept in order to catch me."
Turning back to everyone else he waved them over calling out, "Found them, they are a day or two old, but we will start by following them. This way."

Breena folded her arms across her bust and jutted her chin out, much like a stubborn child would. She tapped her fingers upon her biceps and sighed softly. Breena's almond shaped eyes narrowed as Rheavon spoke of Leila, and the words she had spoken. He had no idea what she had said.. They still stung, but it wasn't what she said that caused the silence now, she had nothing to say to the girl. What was she to apologize for? Trying to protect her, she rolled her eyes and unfolded her arms. " Why are you so sure he is after you? " Bree quirked a brow and turned around to face the crew, Leila was still speaking with Micah.

"Dryke is after me for a broken pride. He always felt he was better than me, and is determined to prove it...not to mention that having failed in his mission thus far, he will need to do something in order to keep his new position." Sighing lightly Rheavon put his hands to the sides and shook his head as he stared worriedly at the markings that were left on the ground.
Wetting his lips lightly, he leaned down and touched the tracks, "This isn't him though, he doesn't work this way, maybe he is trying something different to throw me off...I doubt it though." Looking up into her for a moment he said, "Besides...Dryke wants me dead before his mission now...but hes not a fool, he won't openly attack an armed party like this, and he won't ask for help for the rare case that someone else might get the opportunity.." Shaking his head again in what could only be called pity for a man too lost in a bloodlust quest.

Breena's brows knit together as she peered down at the track left behind. She didn't know this creature, Dryke, but what she did know was that once he was schooled with Rheavon. No, he wouldn't be so foolish to leave a print behind, but someone was...and someone was watching them. Who?
" No, it would be too risky for him as long as we remain in a group. He is a talented wretch, but I doubt he could escape the wrath of the four of us, at least not severely wounded..." Breena murmured, half speaking to herself.
" Follow them? Why... I wonder... Rheavon. Search for more disturbances, if there are none then we can be on our merry way. If there be a threat, we are armed, and the tension will keep us on our toes... Leila is anxious to bury her rotting parents..." Breena sighed and fiddled with the hilt of her sword.
" Then do right, by apologizing to her. " Micah spoke softly, and as he heard the jagged breaths Leila drew in, he guessed she was sobbing. Rather than consoling her, he left and decided to speak to Fallon, who looked to be lost in thought.

Nodded slightly, seeing the truth in her words, "You are right...we will do a little searching to see if there is anything in our vicinity that needs our attention, else we will be on our way." Frowning lightly, he stepped closer to her, laying his hand on her shoulder as he whispered, "Perhaps you should speak to her, it is obvious that what happened weighs heavily upon you..." Looking past her to the group he went on, "As it appears that something is weighing upon Leila..."
Gently giving Breena's shoulder a reassuring squeeze he says, "I'll do a quick scout of the area...make sure there is nothing nearby, and then return. While I'm gone you should speak to her." Looked into her eyes, showing her that he wasn't doing this to keep her away from where danger was, and more to try and remove the raincloud that threatened to follow the group for the entire journey.

Breena lowered her eyes, her brows furrowing in frustration. She tensed as Rheavon lay his hand upon her, and it took a moment for her to relax. " Perhaps I should.. " She finally admitted. She didn't dare look back at Leila, she knew that she was most likely weeping. She had been on the brink of tears since they left the manor, Breena wasn't sure if it was the thought of her parents, the fight between she and Bree or perhaps both which were causing this.
With a great sigh Breena nodded her head, turning it to kiss Rheavon's forearm. She glanced up at him, sadness welling in her eyes. She was saddened by Leila's parents being slaughtered, and saddened by Leila who was so quick to wrath when she had been there for the girl. Every nightmare, every worry, she practically mothered the girl. The woman swallowed hard and averted her gaze, which was now emotionless, none could read her depths. " Be careful, and stay out of trouble.. "

Rheavon nodded, reaching out to touch lightly at the tips of her hair as she turned to leave. Even if he knew that he would face down trolls and ogres with goblins hounding his heels...he would not want to trade spaces with Breena at this moment, What she had to go deal with was going to be a rough battle unto itself.
With a soft sigh, he whispered, his words carried lightly on the wind as he turned to sprint off, "I will, you stay safe as well.." And with that he was gone. Flitting from shadow to shadow as he darted through the woods. For a time, Rheavon followed the tracks, soon discovering that whomever had left them had long since gone. Frowning lightly, he absently wondered who had been around his manor and watching...
Sighing gently, Rheavon ran up the rough bark of a tree and into the boughs. Settling in on one branch he stopped to just stare. Listening to the world around as his mind wandered to what lay ahead. Whatever happened, he would sooner give his life than allow harm come to any of the group, of that he was certain.
Glancing back in the direction he came from for a moment, staring off where he knew they all were he sighed, whispering under his breath, "One loop around and then back."
Abandoning the trail he kept to the boughs, moving from branch to branch in a manor that only an elf could do as he circled before heading back.

Breena stalked silently over to where Leila stood, she was alone and her body was trembling from the violent sobs. Immediately instinct replaced the woman's hesitant approach, she encircled her arms around Leila's trembling form. " Shh.. It's okay.." She spun Leila around, crouching slightly so she could gaze into her eyes. She smiled half heartedly and brushed away her curly locks.
Leila's eyes widened as she felt the familiar embrace, it made her sob all the more, guilt suffocated all her other senses, and all she could do was weep. " Oh.... Breena...... I'm...so...sorry! " She wailed, incoherently.. Trying her best to speak in between sobs. " No need.. No need.. I understand... I understand.." Bree pulled her even closer, her head resting against Leila's as she rubbed her back gently. " Come now... it's okay. I'm fine. You see? I'm fine.."
After a few moments Breena decided that Leila was not calming down as quickly as she thought, and so they took a seat a small distance away from everyone else. She thought of what she could say, or should say, but wondered if that would only make matters worse, would it make her feel that much more guilty? Silence was her best option at this point, and so she continued to console the girl, until she had exhausted herself, and her tear ducts.
