Analise Polyxena stood amidst the bustling crowds in the streets, she clung to her parcel in her hand, and swung her bag in front of her form. Excuse me. She heard a few say, but most pushed past her and nearly sent her falling onto her backside.
Analise entered a cozy shop on the corner of the street, she smiled and slid her cloaks hood from her head. She exposed her brunette hair, and it’s locks sprung up and curled around her soft features. Violet eyes peered over the counter at the mousy old man, her lips parted as she noted his smile, she returned the pleasant gesture and placed the parcel on the counter. ” I’m sorry it took so long, the dog got into the fabric and I had to purchase more..” The man interrupted and patted the air softly. ” Don’t fret child, I appreciate it..” He smiled as he unwrapped the parcel, withdrawing the contents from it’s pack. His eyes glittered with glee, and admiration as he looked upon the dress. ” Oh my… His hands pressed the maroon silk against his chest, as if cradling a child. ” The duchess will surely be pleased…”
At first Analise seemed to blush, then it quickly faded at the mention of the duchess. ” I do hope so… I’m so sorry I was late.. I hope she isn’t angered..” Again the man patted the air softly. He slid the dress over a wire mannequin, muttering to himself. When he returned behind the desk he slid a pouch of coins over to Analise, with a smile he spoke. ” Here my dear, this is what she promised. “ Analise peered into the pouch, her violet eyes widening. With a giggle she nodded her thanks and set out the door. As she stepped outside she slid her coin pouch into her pack and set out into the crowd, her eyes still fixated on her bag.
The crowd pushed down the streets, everyone seemed to be in a rush today, everyone was stocking up on food, and buying gifts for their loved ones. Analise paused in the middle of the street, her arm shifting her pack to in front of herself once again. She never saw the man running toward her, and he never saw her - until they collided. ” Ow! “ Analise let out a yelp as she fell, her back hitting the chilled cobblestone, and then her head followed. She gasped as she saw a pair of eyes staring into hers, and she nearly screamed when she realized he was on top of her. Quickly the man stood upright, offering his hand to the woman, but it wasn’t noticed, she was too busy brushing her belongings back into her pack. ” I’m so sorry.. I didn’t see you, I didn’t mean to..” He sighed and lifted her coin pouch. ” It’s alright.. Most don’t..”

The man stood there embarrassed, he knelt down next to the woman and helped her collect the scattered belongings before a thief picked them up. He couldn’t help but frown when he heard the words spoken, Most don’t. She wasn’t begging for sympathy, she wasn’t saying she wanted to be noticed, just that most didn’t notice her. He rocked back on his heels and extended his gloved hand. ” My name is Trevor Kilbourne. “ He paused and lowered his head for a moment. ” I’m sorry for crashing into you..” Analise accepted the hand gently, and in one fluid movement they were both standing again. ” My name is Analise Polyxena. It’s alright, I should have been minding my whereabouts, I mean look at the streets..” She laughed softly.
Trevor bowed his head gently, Analise could scarcely make out his features from under his hood, even when she was eye to eye with him. ” I must be on my way, my sister is expecting me soon. “ Trevor bowed and darted off into the distance.
Analise quirked a brow and began her journey back to the cottage. She smiled as she thought of the furry faces that awaited her. The young pup known as Rae had most likely torn the barn apart by now.. She sighed and quickened her pace through the crowd.
When she arrived at home she plopped her bag upon the front steps and made her way toward the barn. With a gentle push she opened the barn door to see a pup sitting at her feet, head cocked to the side. He looked up at her with an innocent glint in his eye, and has she not noticed the sawdust clinging to his fur and the straw between his teeth, she perhaps for one moment would have believed her eyes.

Trevor pursed his lips and asbent-mindedly entered a shop. He couldn't seem bto shake the woman from his thoughts. When he crashed into earlier her eyes were the first thing he had noticed; a rare hue, and they had enthralled him. With a sigh he made his way to the counter.
" Ah, yes I'm here to pick up the Duchess' order.." He slid the hood down to reveal his features. His eyes a pale blue, almost grey. His hair as disorderly as his thoughts, for his wavy locks curled around his ears and dangled upon his forehead. His nose was slightly turned up and lips were held in a thin, serious tone.
The grey man behind the counter raised his eyes and a gasp emitted from him, he bowed his head and quickly retrieved the dress. " Oh, oh.. had I known I would have surely..." He was silenced by a wave of the hand. " It's no matter, truly. " He smiled with eyes only, which was contrasted by his thinned lips. He slid a coin pouch over to the man and without speaking further, he left with the beautiful dress.
Before Trevor made it into the streets he was sure to pull his hood up over his head once more, and as he passed where he had slammed into the girl, he couldn't help but feel his mind dwelling upon her vibrant eyes. Finally Trevor wandered back over to the coach that awaited him, he tipped his head to the driver and crouched down as he entered the cab. To his surprise, the Duchess awaited him, along with her mother. " Oh, Trevor! How I've missed you.." The duchess began..and then was silenced by a glare received by her mother, reminding her to address him properly.. " I..I mean, My Lord Kilbourne.. How do you fare?" She corrected herself swiftly.

Analise took her time tending toward the stable, she tidied the mess that the welp had created in her absence and when she was done she scooped him up into her arms. " Now, let's eat, lest you make anymore of a mess.. Father wouldn't be pleased if his dinner was late.." She sighed softly, and made her way into the house.
The cottage was small, but it was cozy and kept warm in the brutal months. It was all that she and her father needed, or could afford for that matter. The close quarters of the home made it easy for pleasant (or unpleasant) smells to waft through the air, and now the stew she was brewing permeated the structure. Analise felt her tummy grumble as she craved the delectable brew.
" Dear Ana... would you please fetch your Father some stew! or is it your wish to drive a man mad with his hungered belly?! " A crackling, crusty voice came. Analise blinked and then set the pup down on the floor, she laughed softly as she walked to her Father's bedside. " I hardly think that my stew would drive any man mad, especially you, Papa.." She knelt down by his side and placed a feather light kiss upon his brow. His blue eyes still sparkled with life, and within the life she saw flecks of mischief, that only grew as his humor did. Analise smiled and hoped to never see such mischief and life fade from those kind eyes, she prayed that he simply fell asleep...
" Well, are you going to fetch me my dinner then, woman. " He cackled as he sat up against the headboard, his cackling turned into laughter, and then into fits of coughing. Ana propped the pillows behind him and tapped upon his back like the doctors had shown her. She fretted over his health terribly, they said it was a simple virus, but he had been sick for quite some time now.
" I will fetch you your soup, but watch your cross tone! " Ana turned to leave, her eyes grew wide as she clutched her stomach. Not again! A green fog entered the house and enveloped, touched, and tainted every posession in the house. Analise went to cry out to her Father but her mouth was paralyzed. Soon her body was rendered useless, and she crashed to the floor, her violet eyes lay open, unmoving, unblinking... And all went black...

Trevor groaned inwardly as the Duchess' droned on, she and her Mother fretting over propriety. He wanted to shred the dress into a million shards, perhaps it would cause both of the women to faint, and he could toss them from the cab. He remained calm, poised, and smiled his well known smile, for all the ladies swooned when he used it to his advantage. " I fare well. I am a bit put off though.." He mocked a frown and held up the beautiful dress that he had purchased. " I was to surprise you with this gown, but it seems you have spoiled it for yourself.." His green eyes stared upon the women, and all he could think of was that pretty little minx..
Suddenly, a thick fog entered the cab, Trevor's eyes slammed shut, he held his stomach and began to retch, his muscles grew weak, his vision blurring. " No... not..again.." He coughed and coughed...until all went black.

A tin voice echoed in the woman's ears, but she was unable to respond, paralyzed. Unaware. What was that smell? What was that .....bright..light...
" Ana.. Ana.. Are you awake? Ana can you hear me? Ana do you see me? Ana tell me... what did you see, what did you feel? Ana......ANA!

Trevor awoke in a luminescent room, the walls were painted white with a faint glow behind them. He could faintly see a green glow beside his bed, but his vision was too blurred to make out what was beside him. He was in a bed, too firm for his liking, and as he grew more conscience of his where abouts he recalled feeling restrains upon his arms. His mind was swirling with confusion and hostility, finally his voice rang out; hoarsely.
"What the hell. Let me out of here!"
He began thrashing around, tugging upon the restraints, until the white door flung open. In rushed people dressed in white robes, their faces lit up with delight, and also something else, perhaps curiosity.
His yelling continued. Which was met by concerned voices.
"Trevor.. Trevor are you alright. What did you see? Tell us?" Came a soft, clearly female voice.
Who was this speaking to him? How did they know his name? He winced as pain shot through his head, he cried out, gasping as it surged through him...... He blacked out...... All fading into darkness once again.

Ana's form lay motionless upon the wooden floor of the cabin, slowly her body began to twitch, life pouring into her once again. When she came to she slowly lifted her head, chestnut locks of hair sweeping into her vision and plastering against her bloodied face. Blood? Gasping she hurriedly moved her hand to her face, sure enough there was blood pouring from her nose. She moved to a sitting position which proved to be a daft move on her part. She was quite dizzy still, and as she wrinkled her nose up she figured she must have bashed it quite good upon the floor. She moved her hand into the apron she wore, and began to fish around for the cloth she always kept with her. She found it and wiped the fresh crimson liquid away from her nose, dabbing here and there as per needed.
She heard a distant groan, and her violent eyes widened. Father! Hurriedly she stood up, stumbling her way into her father's room again. She was relieved to see he was well, dazed just as she had been, but well.
"It's okay, Papa. I'm here." Ana smiled softly, sitting upon the edge of his bed.
"Oh, Ana.. Where is my food?" He laughed softly, scratching the back of his head.
"Papa.." She muttered under her breath, leaning in to his cheek to give him a kiss. " Sit tight, I'll be right back."
