Well, now that its 2006, I figured I’d write up a plot for a Role Play, just because I think it’s a cool plot.
The Idea:
Three players should be involved. I’ll name them off:
Player 1) Player one, most importantly, is Nym’. The Goddess of Chaos, yes. Now, I doubt anyone can play Nym’ as well as Elissa can, but I guess someone else can try, with her permission of course. If she gives you permission, be sure to ask her everything about Nymiane; history, personality, the works. Or, you could just let her play Nym’.
Player 2) Secondly, we need the king of Alyandor, the northern country, (Icy region for mostly goodies). Anyone can do this part; you just have to snag it up. You can play him in any way you please, he just has to be good.
Player 3) Thirdly, we need “World element”. “World element” is just a person who posts as the divine nature of the world. He, or she, will produce events and happenings, and play everyone who is neither Nym’ or the King.
The Plot:
The King is a member of a very secret organization full of very secret people from all over the world. This cult is dedicated to one cause, and that is to preserve the secret of an ancient artifact buried somewhere under crust of Everhath.
I’ll explain the artifact: This ‘artifact’ moves itself frequently, and the only way to keep up with it is for it to distribute, by means of a spell, pieces of a puzzle to incredibly inconspicuous members of the Everhath population. They all keep a piece of the puzzle to themselves; hermits, kings, thieves, whatever, as long as they’re strong enough to not die. After the last bit of the puzzle is sent out from the artifact, the Reunion begins. The cult members collect in the north and are granted permission to enter the King’s secret chambers, where the Eternal Council takes place. The Eternal Council is a meeting that never ends until the pieces of the puzzle are brought together and solved, pinpointing the location of the ‘artifact’, and until every member, except three, one being the King, dies. The two beside the King are chosen by the council. The King is the Everlasting, or the Light, to shine the way for the other two. The first of the two has to be a woman, and she is the Voice, the spell maker. The Third has to be a man, and he is the Eyes, the one who leads the female to the artifact. When the artifact is found by way of the code deciphered, the female uses the spell to produce the next location of the artifact. The artifact then encrypts the spell and spits pieces of it out to other people to continue the chain. The female then must destroy the male’s brain, making him know only the names of the next group of cult members. The female sends the rambling idiot north, where he would eventually be brought before the King. The female then dies, and the chain continues. The Will of the Designed is the process by which the Cult of Ice waits for the Artifact, AKA the “Design”, to distribute the pieces to the people. The King finds them, and makes sure they can find their way to his castle unharmed, which had in the past led to various covert operations concocted to protect the Chosen. The Chosen are the new members of the cult.
Nym’, being the Goddess of Chaos, decides to step into the picture when she cannot find the “artifact” on her own, as well as to disrupt the system. She steals the identity (an identity, appearance wise, unknown to any other of the cult members, including the king) of the female she believes will become the Voice. She waits for the Calling, like all the others, and then arrives at the Castle, where us, as players, RP the Eternal Council. Player 3, AKA World Element, will play every council member aside from Nym’ and the King, and be responsible for every member, save one, to die off. He/she will also control, say, the sound of storms outside, or echoes in the halls, or whatever, but in the end, he/she will end up with the “Eyes”, the male who helps find the Artifact. I’m assuming Nym’ will not die, which means she will obviously become the voice. How she does this is up to her. If chaos breaks lose before the Council ends, the King may end up going with them to see the artifact, or the king might die. Heck, lets just say the entire process could be completely confuzzled. We decide.
Side note: World Element can decide what the Artifact actually is, if we ever get that far, unless he/she doesn’t want to.
