Dedicated to Meadoway Loverboy Reggie. You were my friend when I most needed you.. My guardian angel when I was ill. My son..my world...My angel... I love you.. I'll see you in heaven...
Reggie
1995-?
I remember the sun shining down,
As Mother and I rode through the towns.
I had not a clue as to where we would go,
But I didn’t mind, I just went with the flow.
I drifted to sleep, not a dream in my mind,
When I awoke, the sun left me blind.
The car had stopped and she opened the door,
As I stepped out of the car, my jaw hit the floor.
The sound of puppies and dogs yipping,
My young little heart, oh how it was skipping.
I ran into the house, leaving Mother in the dust
“We’re here for a dog, yes we must!”<br>I screamed and laughed, I smiled and jumped.
My Mother followed and her heart quickly pumped.
“Welcome. I have expected you please feel free to browse.
I have dogs in my <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.qklinkserver.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=92&k=living%20room&st=1" onmouseover="window.status='Search for: living room'; self.ql_skeyphrase='living%20room'; if(window.event) self.ql_sevent=window.event.srcElement; self.ql_timeout = setTimeout('ql_doMouseOver(1)', 1000); self.ql_isOverLink=true; return true;" onclick="if(self.ql_timeout) clearTimeout(self.ql_timeout); self.ql_isOverTip = false; ql_closeiframe(); self.ql_skeyphrase='living%20room'; window.status='Search for: living room';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; if(self.ql_timeout) clearTimeout(self.ql_timeout); self.ql_isOverTip = false; setTimeout('ql_closeiframe()', 1500); ">living room</a> and outside the house.”<br>
So I made my way to the puppies room,
My expression happy, not of gloom.
All ran around, barked and chewed,
Only one remained subdued.
I pushed him away, I wanted mettle,
I knew what I wanted and I would not settle.
As much as I tried, he would not stay away,
I wanted his brother, for he wanted to play.
Not this one, he wanted to snug.
My Mother said “Oh, what a love bug!”<br>At first I was displeased, to have a lazy pup.
But Mother said, he’d be easier growing up.
So that is the day I brought him home,
He was mine, my very own.
