Midnight rider with locks of raven hue, Midnight demoness, This woman knew. Tendrils of ebon, With a heart surely not of heaven. This mare, This demoness, Yes, She had confessed. A murder of the soul, Hath a heart of coal. Drums of hell, do they beat? Nay, ‘tis only her feet, Pounding the ground, OH! What a horrid sound, Deafening to the ear, For all to hear! Death had swarmed over the land of Life, Smothering the living, Covering it in strife. This rider, She fears not, For she is a corpse, One of rot. Fire had consumed her soul, Death taken it’s toll, Ending her life so soon, The raven now caws a new tune. Flames now engulf the riders eyes, Flames how they made the steam arise. And death swept another living realm, The rider shut her ebon helm, The mare’s whip of wrath And the riders grip of death, Another soul is taken, Another Stolen Breath.

Nymiane,
The first thing that obviously caught my attention was the picture. I studied it for a long while and then I read the poem. I thought that it was perfect for the description of the horse, as well as the woman.
I wish that I could look at something and write a poem about it.
Nice one,
