I don't consider this so much a complete retirement as it is a settling down of things gone past. I'll not RP with Anerious here, though I do intend to write about him in the future. He has certain tasks that he must complete, but those being finished he will not be seeing much more action.
Anerious was my first on-line RP personality. I say personality because after six years of active roleplay he is much more than a character. That's why he can never really retire, because I will never really retire. He's always been rather recondite about his past, but let's see what he'll let me write here. Bear with me, folks. His history is long.

"Never sleep, never die. Never say goodbye." - Anerious Claybourn
Prologue: Caveat Lector
Before I give a detailed account of my life it is necessary for you, the listener, the reader, to understand several things. Firstly, as our mutual friend will tell you, I have a horrible habit of answering questions without actually answering them. That is not to say I lie or alter the truth, but I do not always tell it in entirety. That said, what I will tell you is true, but my answers are not always complete. I do this out of prudence, rather than a desire to offend or appear mysterious. The latter I do well enough without conscious effort - the former as well - though this is neither here nor there.
Secondly, it will be noted early that many of the races I refer to have never been seen or heard of before by any of you. There is, of course, a very specific reason for that, but I will not divulge it to you now. It would ruin the surprise. I will do my best to relate these people to races that you may already have heard of, but I make no guarantees. The place of my birth is home to many rather peculiar and particular peoples and creatures that are not completely comparable to anything else I have seen in my many years. Suffice it to say I shall do my best, and describe the rest as well as memory serves for such things.
Also, it should be duly noted that there are going to be a few gaps in this story. I am, in point of fact, still recovering images and information from several of my lost years. So, if I skip ahead a century or two it is not always because of reason number one (see above).
Lastly, I must out of courtesy state that this is not a tale for the faint of heart, the weak of constitution, or any with a mind to judge. My past is not necessarily who I am, but who I was does play a role in that current persona. So being judgmental is out. As for the rest, you have been warned. There is more blood in my tale than could fill the oceans and seas of your earth - indeed, more than if they were to overflow their borders until they reached your highest peak - seven times over. I have left more shriveled corpses in my wake than there are stars to count - bodies and worlds alike.
But don't worry...
...too much.
